He was born October 20, 1966, in Decatur, Illinois, and attended high school. Jimmie is Baptist by faith. He is currently retired from the U. S. Army after serving a combined service of 31 and a half years as a Senior Medical NCO. Jimmie was made a Mason in July 1991 in Sun Lodge #629, where he served as Senior Warden. In 2000 he was elected as Worshipful Master of Sunset Lodge #76. Jimmie became a Royal Arch Mason in May of 2001, serving as Treasurer and King (5th term). Jimmie has served as Eminent Commander, Associate Patron, Royal Advisor, and Assistant Raban.

He currently serves as Deputy Master R&SM, DDGC Knights Templar, Worthy Patron OES, 2nd Court Director HOJ, Royal Deputy Advisor LOCOP, and Commander-In-Chief (3rd term) of Rio Grande Consistory #24. He is a member of the American Legion, NAACP, Phylaxis Society, Scottish Rite Research Society, Order of Temple College, and the York Rite Sovereign College of North America. Jimmie and his wife Sonya have been married for over 31 years and have a daughter, Janaiya, and a son, Kristian.
